We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge, learn how our products work, and work well with other departments to troubleshoot issues for customers. Technical Sales Specialist

The Technical Sales Specialist on the Future Markets team works with prospects to convert them to Scribble Software customers by discussing and evaluating their business needs for software solutions and services. Technical Sales Specialist are Scribble Software product and services knowledge experts who are responsible for thoroughly knowing our products and services, evaluating prospects’ business needs, providing quotes, and ensuring contracts are closed on a timely, ongoing basis.

Primary Duties and General Responsibilities:

Customer Sales

  • Close contracts for new prospects by evaluating their needs to find the best solutions to meet their business needs, providing demonstrations and proposals, professionally negotiating, and converting prospects to new customers.
  • Follow-up with customers for continuous needs analysis and growth, offering advice on additional products and services, providing demonstrations and proposals for the same.
  • Respond to current customers’ requests for additional services and products.
  • Create proposals for software products, services, upgrades, hardware, and maintenance.
  • Ensure the sales process is going smoothly by evaluating and following up with customers and prospects consistently on an ongoing basis.
  • Be a professional resource for prospects and customers to receive guidance on the best products and services to meet their needs.
  • Follow up with new requests on the same day, preferably the first part of the day, and by 2 pm. If the new request is after 2 pm, respond on the same whenever feasible. If not feasible, respond within 24 hours of the request.
  • Call and send emails to remind customers/prospects of their demos the morning of the demos.
  • Monitor prospects’ responses to questionnaires required to provide quotes for products and follow up as applicable.

Promote Sales and Company Growth

  • Offer insights from customers and prospects that foster company growth and development.
  • Provide feedback to Sales Business Development Manager, Executive Management, and Development teams regarding requests from customers for additional features, products, and other changes that will increase customer satisfaction and total revenue.
  • Be a team player. Ask questions, offer suggestions, and keep the team apprised of current tasks/accounts, recommendations, and ideas.

Salesforce & QuickBooks

  • Know and follow all Scribble Software procedures regarding Salesforce, QuickBooks, and other tools.
  • Log calls, document activity, use memorized transactions, etc.
  • Create estimates/contracts and invoices.
  • Create Opportunities in Salesforce and document all activities related to Opportunities.
  • Keep prospect, customer, account, and activity information well documented and current.

Individual Ongoing Education and Growth

  • Every Future Market’s Team member is responsible for constantly updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, studying the market, the competition, and sales methodologies.
  • Research and be well-acquainted with our competitors and how Scribble beats the competition.

Conferences

  • Represent Scribble Software at industry conferences in a professional manner, as a knowledgeable representative of the company.

Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM In Office
Reports to: Sales Business Development Manager

Requires knowledge and previous experience of:

  • To excel in this role, you should be an active listener, have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls to inbound warm leads

Software and sales books, courses, videos, and materials

  • Knowledge of market and competition in the market
  • Solid experience in selling and closing sales, proven sales track record
  • Marketing experience a plus
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • IT knowledge and fluency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, QuickBooks, and all Scribble products
  • Excellent customer service skills, with experience in customer service, is a plus
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
